Agreement for Placement of
Items on Display Racks
This agreement is made
this date ______________________
between the artist, (name) ______________________________,
who is a current, paying member of Clinch Artists, and Clinch Artists,
concerning the placement of craft or art items on Clinch Artists' display
racks
which will go outside their store at Jubilee Project.
Artists are required by Clinch Artists to have calculated break even
analysis on items placed
(to help the artist set a price),
and to package items to limit loss or damage from being handled by
customers
(for example protecting earrings, books, etc.)
Sherri Hudson is available to consult with artists on how to do this.
Before a display goes out, an inventory of items on it will be kept in the
Clinch Artists office,
(do we need to say, which will be signed by two people)
1. At this time, one rack will be placed in the office of Scott Collins,
Hancock County Clerk and Master at the Court House, for display only (no
sales).
He sees many tourists and people interested in the history of the county.
Mr. Collins can direct people to purchase items at the Clinch Artists
store at Jubilee Project.
Although he will be careful to watch the display,
he cannot assume financial responsibility of items are damaged, broken or
misplaced.
The artist must assume loss, if any.
This display may be temporarily removed by Clinch Artists if needed for a
fair or show.
I give my consent for my items to go on the display in Scott Collins
office.
Signed _______________________________________
2. Clinch Artists cannot assume responsibility for loss or damage during
transport to a store, fair or show, nor for damage or loss while at a
Clinch Artists sponsored fair, show or event.
I give my consent for my items to go on the display to be transported and
displayed at another
location by Clinch Artists for display at an event, or sales at an event,
fair or show.
Signed _______________________________________
3. Clinch Artists will work to place one or two displays in stores on
consignment.
There will be an agreement between Clinch Artists and the store
on the period of time for trial placement.
There will be one Clinch Artist member who will be responsible for keeping
in
contact with the store on how the items are doing, or if they need
re-stocking.
Clinch Artists will try to get the store to assume their
normal theft/damage/breakage policy for the display.
This policy will be written and kept in the Clinch Artists office.
Before a display goes out, an inventory of items on it
will be kept in the Clinch Artists office, which will be signed by two
people.
Delivery: Artist will deliver craft item to the Clinch Artists office.
Clinch Artists representative will deliver items to the store
(and will wrap them for transport if necessary)
Clinch Artists cannot assume responsibility for breakage, damage or loss.
Pricing: the artist will state the price they will receive for a sale of
the item.
Clinch Artists will add 30% to that price.
Clinch Artists will make sure the artist receives at least their set
minimum price.
Artists will be paid for sales within 45 days, at a regularly scheduled
pay out time.
The artist will work with the Display Committee to choose items,
which will fit in the display and have the best chance of selling.
The artist must give approval of items to go on the display.
The committee will have final approval of items for placement,
as they will take into account balancing all the artists' requests.
I give my consent for my items to go on the displays to go on consignment
in stores.
I also agree that I individually will not sell items at wholesale or
consignment
at the same store where Clinch Artists has its display at a price
which would undercut the price on the display.
Signed ____________________________________ Date ____________________
If the artist has a complaint concerning the displays,
they must first take it to the Display Committee.
If they are not satisfied, they would take it to the Clinch Artists
manager,
then the Clinch Artists members at a meeting. |
